Toronto, Ontario-based freelance illustrator and designer, Sam Singh of Sam Singh Illustration & Design, is announcing the launch of her Celebrate Black History Month Black Excellence series at her online shop.

Sam Singh has collaborated with many creatives over the last 11 years of her freelance career, providing concept illustrations, caricatures, retro posters and illustrated logo designs. Her objective is to help creatives, art enthusiasts and collectors achieve their commercial or branding design goals. The launch of the Black Excellence Black History Month portrait series on her online platform gives special access to original designs that celebrate venerated, 20th-century black singers and entertainers.
As a multi-award-winning artist, Sam’s current series features black male and female vocalists and entertainers from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s who are recognized as trailblazers of their era. Her work includes illustrations of Tina Turner, Jimi Hendrix, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston and Bob Marley.

Sam Singh was born in Toronto, Canada, and received her Bachelor of Design degree at OCADU and began her freelance career in June 2010. She has collaborated with a variety of clients on design projects that include logo design, print design, private portrait commissions, and was appointed Lead of the Art Department and instructor at Focus Learning Progressive Learning Centre in 2014.
