The festival is open to filmmakers, TV stations, and film fans who want to attend to check out the best new short films and movies hitting the scene. There will be awards and prizes for writers, filmmakers, and composers, with a chance to meet professionals in the field.

The festival is free to submit to for the first submission, and is open for submissions from May 1, 2017 with a final deadline on August 31, 2017. Producers whose entries have been selected for official selection at the festival will be notified by September 15.

Films to be submitted can either be a feature film, a short film, music clip, documentary, or animation, with a wide range of genres embraced. Short films are wanted that are 60 minutes or under, with micro films of 15 minutes or less also accepted.

Film festivals can help to launch the careers of the filmmakers who submit their work to them. Festivals accept submissions from students and beginning filmmakers as well as professionals, and help to promote work from grassroots up to the highest echelons of the field.

Attending a film festival can also have numerous benefits, with the chance to go behind the scenes, get inspired by other filmmakers work, and handing out work to people who may be interested in it.

Through networking with other filmmakers, people involved in the industry can get their foot in the door and launch their careers to new heights.
