Men’s Support Groups Are Booming In The Age of Covid-19

Due to the recent outbreak of CoVid-19, Embodied Masculine has created a unique and innovative solution that allows men to connect with one another while still following social distancing.

More and more men are turning to support groups as a way of bettering themselves and enjoying personal development. Unfortunately, due to the strict lockdown measures and self-isolation rules put in place, going out and physically being part of a support group is no longer possible. Embodied Masculine offers a solution to this problem in the form of a virtual space for men from all over the world. It’s a chance to be part of a male support group and share experiences with others, all while staying at home and keeping a safe distance from one another.
Social distancing without disconnecting
Lots of people are struggling to cope with the new social distancing and self-isolating guidelines. There’s a need to connect with others and be part of a group. Being cooped up at home all day is enough to drive anyone insane. Thankfully, these virtual spaces let men achieve social distancing while still connecting with likeminded individuals.
The virtual gatherings are due to take place every Wednesday night at 8 pm PST. They run for two hours and will follow the same structure that the physical support groups used to follow. This includes a firm focus on movement, meditation, physical training, spiritual training, and embodiment practices.
Cultivating a community of conscious men
Everything that’s shared and discussed in the virtual sessions is strictly confidential. It doesn’t get shared elsewhere, creating a safe environment for men to enjoy. It’s an opportunity to learn from other like-minded individuals while learning about new things and seeing different perspectives from other self-aware men.
The overall goal of these virtual sessions is to create a community of conscious men who reach their full potential. It can be hard for a lot of men to open up and express how they’re feeling. Being in a virtual environment like this makes it far easier to do. There’s a lot to gain from spending quality time in a men’s support group.
Virtual sessions open to all
Anyone that’s feeling lonely or wants to make a change in their life can attend one of these non-social gatherings. It’s a chance to fill two hours of the evening with a productive session that makes self-isolation easier to bear. The gatherings are listed online and people simply have to sign up at least 3 hours before it’s due to start. All the virtual sessions are run on Zoom, so a good internet connection and microphone are all that’s required.
