The conversation was all about the capital investment and infrastructure strategies. This conversation took place at the Chicagoland Laborers’ District Council Training and Apprentice center. During the meeting, the Mayor highlighted all the changes concerting CTA infrastructure and the upcoming City pipeline infrastructure projects. All the attendees got a glimpse of what the future of the City of Chicago holds.
According to a representative from McDonagh Demolition who attended the meeting, “McDonagh was honored to be included in this ribbon cutting ceremony which represented the City of Chicago breaking ground on the expansion of the Laborers Union Training and Apprentice Center on the Southside of Chicago. As a metaphorical ribbon, the mayor and other participants each shoveled a pile of dirt and tossed it away symbolizing the City moving forward and progressing for the benefit of its residents. Harris from McDonagh had the opportunity to spend a few moments with Mayor Emanuel and share in his excitement of this monumental event.”
