Later, she completed an additional residency at Silicon Graphics, before returning to Mayo Clinic, where she completed her fellowship in orthopedic oncology.
Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. O'Connor served as an orthopedic surgeon at Mayo Clinic for over 23 years, as well as at the Center for Musculoskeletal Care at Yale School of Medicine for over 6 years before establishing Vori Health in 2021. She was also the Chair of Movement is Life, a non-profit organization working to address the systemic changes needed to improve healthcare for women and minority communities.
Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
