The PragueDAO is the first DAOstack-powered DAO to govern physical space. In time, the DAO hopes to one day be the premiere incubator choice for the decentralized tech startups throughout Prague. This experiment was spearheaded by Disrupt Digital and co-funded by the Genesis DAO. It is an innovative idea that has the potential to chance the way people do business.

Disrupt Digital, the team behind PragueDAO, is a growing agency that began in 2014, when the concept was submitted to Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur competition and won its section. Over time, the idea has blossomed into a full-scale digital marketing agency that focuses on supporting high potential startups located in disruptive sectors. The agency’s co-founder, Clare Kennedy, spends the time she’s not working for Disrupt Digital working as the director of Silicon Valley Accelerator, Founder Institute giving her access to interesting, innovative, and cutting-edge ideas. She pours these concepts into Disrupt Digital, giving the company and her coworkers the benefit of smart solutions that keeps them one step ahead of the crowd. The agency’s interest in PragueDAO was the result of this experience.

PragueDAO Incubator is an exciting project with the primary objective of testing how physical DAOs could be used to help govern physical space. The test area for Prague DAO is roughly 2,000 square feet that is also focused on creating an incubation space for blockchain and tech startups that is self-sufficient. These startups could potentially become use cases for DAOs themselves and have the opportunity to join the community and help guide the development of the space. This is a great opportunity to become incubator members and better understand how DAO in the future could help guide business and technology as well as physical locales.

PragueDAO’s doors technically opened on July 1st, but the facility won’t be available to tour until the first week in August. Startups have the option to use the space before the launch itself. The space itself is quite the interesting choice for an office, with the converted penthouse apartment offering professionals a creative area from which to work and collaborate with other entrepreneurs.
