Farm Girl created the newly expanded product line to be both keto and diabetic-friendly, without compromising on taste. It gives customers an easy way to eat right by taking the food people already enjoy and making it healthier.
With more people following a keto diet for health reasons, the range was produced with such dietary restrictions in mind. A keto or ketogenic diet is a low-carb, high-fat diet, where a person’s daily calorie requirement is met through adequate protein intake. This is why all Farm Girl products were made to be both low-carb and nutrient-dense.
The nutrient-dense breakfast cereals are protein-rich and come in various flavours, including salted caramel, cinnamon apple, and pumpkin spice. Customers can order a 3-in-1 starter kit that features three different nut-based flavours. Additionally, there are also instant hot cereal products that come in multiple flavours.
As for ready-to-use mixes, Farm Girl’s range of low-carb flour products can be used to make gluten-free bread, noodles, pastry, and pizza. All flour products are rich in protein and prebiotic fibre, and also 100% non-GMO.
The company’s product range also includes nut-based mixes for pancakes, muffins, brownies, and other desserts. These ready-to-use mixes are whole food based, and free of gluten and dairy.
To make them easily accessible across Canada, all Farm Girl products are available for delivery nationwide. In-store pick-up is also possible at its Mississauga store.
Within two years, the Farm Girl brand went from operating out of a basement apartment to setting up a physical store in Mississauga. In addition to its range of healthy products, the brand’s website also features plenty of keto-friendly recipe ideas for low-carb pizza, pasta, and pastries.
A spokesperson for the company said: “We produce innovative food products that combine the latest Michelin star techniques with an ingredient-focused mind-set. Each and every ingredient is ethically sourced and nutritious.”
