Designed for couples who want to reduce wedding costs while keeping special touches for their important day, the updated ceremony packages from Capital Region Ceremonies include themed, personalized attention, a wedding officiant, photography, and more.

As the cost of the average wedding continues to rise, the company’s all-inclusive ceremony packages eliminate many of the hidden costs that often emerge for couples, such as the a la carte services that are often added to a wedding officiant’s basic fees.

According to The Knot, the average cost of an American wedding in 2022 was $30,000, and in New York State it was $46,000. These prices are prohibitive for many couples, explains Reverend Ronald Hunt, wedding officiant and founder of Capital Region Ceremonies. “The price tag of your wedding does not define you, your relationship, or your marriage,” says Reverend Ron. “The only thing that matters is that you and your partner have a great time, so we offer a few ways to cut costs and throw an amazing and affordable wedding on a budget.”

For intimate ceremonies and elopements, the company now hosts couples in their wedding venue, Blessings Chapel, or at a location of the couple’s choosing.

All-inclusive packages for larger groups are now offered at the Palette Event Space, where the couple’s vendors can also be incorporated, if desired.

The starting package for an affordable wedding with Capital Region Ceremonies includes a review of the marriage license, choice of religious or non-religious wedding format, a reading, and completion of the ceremony with up to four guests, while larger packages feature titanium rings, a bouquet, sparkling wine, first dance, photography, walking tour of historic Schenectady, and a night at the Belvedere Hotel.

Reverend Ron and the team are on-hand to offer advice for all aspects of wedding planning and work with partners to include personalized elements in the ceremony.

Previous clients give positive reviews. “Reverend Hunt officiated our wedding ceremony and did a beautiful job," said Phil and Lisa O. “He really paid attention to who we were as individuals and as a couple and fully integrated our personal story to make a meaningful and unique ceremony.”
