A California company offering an active shooter survival course has recently updated its online training services. The online ALIVE Active Shooter Survival Training Program provides the same life-saving knowledge as the in-person presentation, teaching people how to keep themselves and others around them safe.
Murrieta, United States - February 1, 2022 /PressCable/ —
Mass shootings are a persistent problem in the United States, and so active shooter survival training is needed now more than ever before. The company’s updated online training course now allows people to enroll easily through its website and sign up for a 3, 2, or 1-hour course or a 20-minute annual refresher session.

The announcement is particularly poignant in the light of current statistics about instances of active shooters in the US this year. According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been 614 mass shootings so far in 2021 including 24 mass murders (as of mid-September). The updated online ALIVE Active Shooter Survival Training Program teaches participants to recognize the warning signs of potential violence and the physical steps necessary to survive an active shooter.
The 20-minute Lightning Course is a limited but nevertheless highly informative program that can also be used as a refresher course for those with previous training. The 1-hour Accelerated Course covers the 5 steps of ALIVE in detail (disabling the killer, when to attack, the right and wrong way to react), and the 2-hour Power Course contains additional information such as warning signs of potential violence so it can be stopped before it begins.
The 3-hour Comprehensive Course covers everything in the Power Course plus extensive advice on situational awareness, ideal mindset to prevent helplessness, the mindset of the killer, and a visualization exercise specific to where participants spend the majority of their day.
With this update, organizations can also enroll their employees, students, or parishioners onto one of the ALIVE Active Shooter Survival Program courses in order to teach them what to do if a gunman enters their workplace, school, or place of worship.
The ALIVE Active Shooter Survival Training Program was created by Michael Julian, a personal protection specialist who is fully certified in active shooter response. His program has developed a strong reputation for its comprehensive and informative coaching and for helping participants to survive real active shooter incidents.
A grateful student said, “About 3 years ago, you came in and gave us your ALIVE training course, but I never in a million years thought I’d have to use it. I was in Las Vegas at the Route 91 Harvest festival, when all of a sudden I heard what sounded like firecrackers. I truly believe taking your training is what told me to run, which ultimately saved us.”
