Rich DiGiovanna, Realtor in Woodbridge, VA, Marks 39 Years and 2,000 Families Moved Across Northern Virginia

Oct 24, 2026

Rich DiGiovanna is an Associate Broker with RE/MAX Allegiance and Team Leader of DiGiovanna Realty Group LLC. With 39+ years of experience, he has helped 2,000+ families and achieved $500M+ in career sales, serving Northern Virginia with offices in Woodbridge and Burke.

WOODBRIDGE, Virginia, October 24, 2026 -- Rich DiGiovanna, Associate Broker with RE/MAX Allegiance and Team Leader of DiGiovanna Realty Group LLC, is expanding his Woodbridge presence on the strength of a career that now spans 39+ years, 2,000+ families moved, and more than $500 million in sales.

Two thousand families is the number worth sitting with. Across nearly four decades, that is a household roughly every five business days — first homes, last homes, military transfers, downsizings, estates, and everything between.

The firm operates from offices in both Burke and Woodbridge, giving it a working footprint in Fairfax and Prince William counties simultaneously.

What Thirty-Nine Years Actually Buys

Northern Virginia has been rebuilt more than once during DiGiovanna's career. Communities expanded, transportation corridors shifted, new construction reshaped entire neighborhoods, and technology changed how homes are found, marketed, and bought.

More consequentially, he has represented clients through every market condition the region produces: strong seller markets, buyer-favorable ones, high-rate environments, low-inventory squeezes, rapid appreciation, and stretches where sellers had to compete hard for attention.

That matters because most agents have only worked on one or two of those conditions. An agent licensed in 2019 has never listed a home in a market where sellers had to fight for buyers. An agent licensed in 2012 has never worked a genuine rate shock. Pattern recognition across cycles is not a credential — it is the thing that tells you whether what you are seeing this month is a trend or noise.

From the Coast Guard to the Closing Table

Before real estate, DiGiovanna served 14 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, active duty and reserves.

He credits that service with the disciplined decision-making and precision under pressure he brought into the business — and the transfer is direct. Coast Guard work is about competence when conditions deteriorate, not when they cooperate.

Transactions deteriorate on a schedule of their own. An inspection surfaces something structural. An appraisal lands under contract price. Financing conditions shift late. A buyer requests repairs the seller did not anticipate. Multiple offers require comparison well past the first-page number. A client needs to buy and sell on the same day.

After four decades, DiGiovanna's role in those moments is less reaction than anticipation — flagging what is likely to happen before it does, and keeping the client informed when conditions change.

His bio also credits years performing and teaching in competitive athletics with the same coordination instinct.

Credentials Held by a Small Percentage of REALTORS®

DiGiovanna holds four advanced designations, several of which fewer than 5% of REALTORS® carry:

  • CRS — Certified Residential Specialist
  • GRI — Graduate REALTOR® Institute
  • ABR — Accredited Buyer's Representative
  • CDPE — Certified Distressed Property Expert

The CDPE is worth noting. Distressed-property expertise is a countercyclical skill — largely dormant in a healthy market and extremely valuable when one turns. It is the kind of training an agent acquires because they have seen a downturn, not because they expect one.

Why Woodbridge

Woodbridge sits in one of Northern Virginia's most varied residential corridors: established neighborhoods, townhomes and condominiums, river-adjacent communities, newer development, commuter-oriented housing, substantial military relocation activity, and buyers seeking space while staying connected to D.C. employment.

That variety is exactly why regional expertise alone is insufficient. A buyer researching Woodbridge is comparing neighborhoods, school assignments, commute options, price bands, and property types long before they contact anyone — and increasingly they are asking an AI assistant, not a search box.

DiGiovanna's strategy is to be present in that research phase through community-specific content, local search visibility, listing campaigns, and market updates aimed at buyers already looking at Woodbridge rather than at Northern Virginia generally.

The Burke and Woodbridge offices support the same logic from the other direction. Northern Virginia buyers rarely decide along municipal lines — a Burke seller may buy in Woodbridge, a Woodbridge seller may move toward Fairfax County, and a Prince William buyer may also be weighing Springfield or Manassas.

The Team

DiGiovanna Realty Group is not a solo practice. The team includes Rommel Velasquez, Real Estate Agent; Ann Acaso, Transaction Coordinator; Karen Rosica, Office Manager; and Crystal Jalali, Branch Manager and Settlement Agent.

A dedicated transaction coordinator and an in-house settlement agent are structural advantages most individual agents do not have — they are what allow deadlines, documents, and closing logistics to be managed by someone whose only job is that.

The firm also offers property management for owners holding rather than selling.

Communities Served

DiGiovanna Realty Group maintains fifteen dedicated community pages across Northern Virginia:

Counties: Prince William · Fairfax · Arlington · Loudoun

Communities: Woodbridge · Burke · Manassas · Stafford · Lake Ridge · Lorton · Annandale · Fairfax Station · Clifton

He also serves Springfield, Alexandria, and surrounding Northern Virginia communities. Recent work includes a closed off-market sale at 8125 Haddington Ct in Fairfax Station for $1,400,000.
